Does a man have to give up his seat to a woman? Re-phrase: does a young man have to give up his seat to an elder lady? One more time: does a teenage boy have to give up his seat to a very mature lady who’s having trouble standing upright during the bus ride? I say ‘yes’ to all. After today’s observations I’d say I’m in the minority.
I witnessed three women ride the bus while standing. Each nearly suffered a fall. Three, more than three, men sat and watched. I know each of these men saw each of the ladies’ difficulties.
Finally a young lady offered her seat to the elderly lady. The new standee put herself in peril as she was wearing heals – wobble, wobble.
Am I a heal for not calling out my fellow males?
